The Booster Club

Trinity parents are the Booster Club. It is an amazing (non-profit) volunteer driven organization that provides communication, unprecedented family activities and fundraising opportunities to significantly elevate the Trinity experience outside the classroom. The motto of "Irish dance for our kids, not just my kid" is a long-standing one that sets us apart from many children's organizations - a motto we are very proud of.

Trinity Booster Club Mission Statement

We are an organization of parents committed to providing support and activities that enhance the Irish dancing experience for our children, teachers and families of Trinity. Through Communication, Coordination and Team Building, we consistently support the Trinity teaching staff’s unique vision.

The Trinity Booster Club is a non-profit 501c-3 organization.

Throughout the year, you will see the Trinity Booster Club create and support the following variety of activities and opportunities:

  • Class/Teacher support: passports, calendars, progress reports
  • Communication resources: website, student directory, weekly e-newsletter
  • Costumes and costume resources: used dress sales, dress inspections, dress storage, team dress rentals, Wigs/Makeup
  • Local support: Trinity is working closely with our class reps and location council chairs to increase the amount of local support for our parents including parent mentors, location specific bulletin boards, local community outreach
  • Fundraisers: Trinity provides opportunities for parents to fundraise their expenses. Any Trinity family can utilize our fundraisers to reimburse the cost of their costumes, wigs, fees for competition, travel expenses etc. Additionally, we provide fundraisers for teams, international travel and are working to establish a scholarship fund for Trinity students.
  • School-wide events: Winter Weekend, Parades, Irish Fest, Field Museum show, Spring Performances
  • Competitions: Trinity runs 3 area Feisianna, and coordinates Trinity’s participation (registration process, travel, teacher support, costumes) and support of the dancers (dress rehearsals) in other competitions such as Oireachtas, Nationals, Worlds, All Irelands, etc.
  • Workshops: provided several times a year including with Trinity’s lead teachers, and specialists from Ireland

While parents are not required to volunteer, we all contribute an upfront nominal fee ("Family Commitment Level," or FCL) that can be fundraised back by the family throughout the year. In fact, families can utilize a myriad of optional fundraising opportunities to cover the FCL and raise as much money as they want to offset any/all dance related expenses. The FCL is essential to support upfront costs associated with these events and to maintain a small administrative staff. The FCL for new students is $60 for River dancers and $130 for Cork dancers and can be paid in two installments; September and January. Details regarding our wonderful Booster Club will be explained at our orientation meetings on opening day.
