Sample a bit of Trinity's award-winning instruction with our summer introductory program.
Each six-class workshop is designed to introduce students to the unique and exciting world of Irish dance. Taste of Trinity invites boys and girls ages four through 12 to discover the basics of Irish dance, learning the proper techniques of movement set to the rhythm of Irish music. Each session will conclude with a 15-minute special performance for family and friends. No previous dance experience is necessary.
"Taste of Trinity offers a wonderful opportunity for children to experience the fun and artistry of Irish dance, taught by our highly respected instructors," said Trinity Founding Artistic Director Mark Howard. "It's also a healthy form of exercise and a great way to make new friends."
Registration for Taste of Trinity is now open. Space is limited. Cost per session is $95 for six classes* which includes a Trinity t-shirt. Call Cynthia at 773-529-4822, ext. 35 or e-mail cynthia.oblein (at) trinitydance.com for information.

What should the dancers wear to class?
Our goal is to have each dancer in class be in "dance uniform." Therefore, dancers should wear a t-shirt and shorts in which they are comfortable moving around. They will be receiving their complimentary t-shirt from Trinity on their first day. We encourage dancers to wear it to future classes, although any white t-shirt is acceptable. The shorts should be dark-colored; preferably black. As for shoes, the dancers can wear a comfortable gym shoe or soft dance shoe. You are not required to buy Irish soft shoes for this class, but should you wish to do so, they are available at any Touch of Ireland location.
Can parents be in the classroom?
We have found that parents' presence in class provides more of a distraction than a help. Most of our locations do have a separate room where parents can wait while their children are in class. At the teachers' discretion parents may be invited into the classroom at certain times to observe the dancers' progress. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters are invited to come at the end of the final class to see their children perform in a brief recital.
